Like a guitar-laden phoenix, PetalShelf is a rock band that was formed from the ashes of several former bands in 2001. Coming out of Leachville, AR, the band includes Ty Beach (vocals), Brandon Snider (guitars), Aaron Hampton (bass), and Brian Hill (drums). Arkansas badass rock band. Though currently touring and stealing odd moments of spare time to write and record songs for their planned sophomore album, it is with their 2005 debut album that I’ve been spending much of my spare time listening to. With hits like Neverbound, Queen of Broken Pride, and Change My Mind, they have drawn enormous support from Z-95 the Bone. They also do shows with fellow rockers and close friends, Further Down. I can’t tell you how much I hope I get the chance to listen to (and review) their next release. It’s just that good. Sounding like a nice mixture of Wes Scantlin (Puddle of Mudd) and Scott Weiland (Velvet Revolver, Stone Temple Pilots). Arkansas badass unsigned rock band.
